New blog? Or continue this One?

I feel like starting brand new and fresh. School just started, I've mentally changed a bit over the summer, and I'm a little tired of the over abundance of pink on this blog. Should I just completely remodel this blog or start from scratch? Personally, I want to start from scratch, but I'd definitely like some opinions before I do :) Comment please. I might get tired of waiting. Actually I'm tired of waiting and I haven't even posted this yet. i think I'll just start a new one now, and delete it if necassary. PLEASE COMMENT, EVEN IF I DON'T KNOW YOU. I'll love you forever. And if you'd rather, i won't love you forever. Take a pick. xD

Busiest Summer of My LIfe

This has got to be the busiest summer I've had in my entire life. I'm actually really disappointed I didn't get to post AT ALL this summer, especially because that's when I have the biggest audience and the most views. I'm pretty sure I've lost alot of people, but hopefully Ill be able to gain some back over time. Literally everyday this summer I was busy doing something, ranging from sitting here doing AP homework to hanging out at the beach. honestly it hasn't been the best summer, but it was very productive and I did have some good times. I must say, it was definitely was the most painful summer I've had. First there was the wisdom teeth surgery, then of course the mentally painful AP work, and then there was the three week long marching band camp I attended. After the busiest summer of my life, unfortunately I've started what is looking like the busiest school year of my life. It never stops does it? It is alot of fun, but requires hard work and time management. Hopefully I'll find the time to post regularly again. Please help me get viewers back and spread the word :) Thanks! My apologies for the lack of postage this summer.

Awesome Sleepover

I hadn't seen my bestie in months until last night! We seriously had to catch up. We talked about a ton and had a great time! I missed her to death. I felt Megan deprived. Anyways, it's all good now though! Hoping to have some more good times like that alot this summer. My overall favorite quote from last night:
"Behind these flying toasters are some of the deepest conversations you'll ever see in your entire life."
I LOVE YOU MEGAN!!!!

I Inspired Someone :D

Alright, so a few days ago me and one of my best buddies, Katherine, were chatting on Facebook. She checked out mah blog, and she decided that she wanted to do one too! I feel special because I inspired someone.......Ha, but anyways, she's a pretty cool chickadee so you should check out her blog! It's UHMAYZUHNN!!!!!!!
LOVE YOU KATHERINE! :)

North Carolina Aquarium

This week my family and I went to the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island. It was pretty good sized and had many different species of fish. My favorite part of the aquarium was the touch tank. There were different types of stingrays, horseshoe crabs, and small sharks inside for the public to pet. There was one stingray in particular that kept coming up to me and rubbing his slimy body against my hand. Most of the little sharks stayed away from the people and near some rocks, but there were a couple that swam around the edge of the tank so people could pet them. My second favorite part of the aquarium was the shark tank. This tank had large, dangerous sharks with razor sharp teeth and powerful jaws. Some were cute, but others were frightening and inimidating. I tried to take a picture of one shark and he started coming a me with his mouth open! No matter how evil the sharks were however, the trip to the aquarium was pretty awesome and I reccomend you go there!

My Beachy Paradise

As I said in the post before this one, I'm at OBX. At least once a day since Saturday I've gone to the beach. Recenty I've realized that this might be my most favorite place I've ever been to. When you sit on the soft sand of the relaxing beach, you'll see graceful dolphins surfing on the waves created by speed boats plowing through the water. When you look up into the air, you'll see not a cloud in the sky. Pelicans and sea birds fly over your head in lines and formations as if they're all syncronized. Vacationers fly colorful kites over the sand and the sea. Families spread out across the wide, open beach, so it's as if you're the only one there. Small crabs and other ocean creatures accompany you during your visit. At night, the shining moon rises over the ocean, its light being reflected off the dark blue waters. Stars sparkle and shine throughout every inch ofthe sky. Every now and then, a nice breeze sweeps across your face. The sand is soft and cool like powder spread across the beach. I adore the beaches of North Carolina with all my heart :)

Catching Up

Wow.....it's been a month since I've posted......that just shows how busy I've been since school let out! I guesswe've got some catching up to do. Let's go back to when school first let out. Last day was great, but extremely sad. Before the last bell rang in my middle school life we all cried and hugged each other. Alot of us are going to be seperated next year because we're going to different schools. The day ended up being fatastic anyways because later on that day my friends ad I went to KD. The following week my grandma from Texas came. She stayed with us until that Thursday. It was really fun having her over, and there were alot of funny moments we all had! After she left on Thursday, I had marching band practice. I love those people there so much!!! I'm looking forward to a great year with them all. That Friday, my family and I headed up to West Virginia. The weather was beautiful. The hummingbirds were flying around that patio and there were plants full of vegetables and flowers everywhere. One day in West Virginia, my grandpa took my brother, dad, and I down to the jail. Don't think wrongly of that, it was just to show us around, I promise! Anyways, he showed us how things work around the jail and he locked me in a cell. Alone. It was terrible fr the short 5 minutes I was in there! I don't understand how smeone could do that for years. I also got strapped in a restraint chair....next to another inmate. That was unbelievably awkward. The whole thing ended up being pretty fun and interesting though! After we got back from West Virginia,e all just took a little time to chill. On Tuesday I went downtown with Craig and went to band practice. It was a great day! Lots of fun, heat wasn't too bad, got to see my band peeples. Thursday was the worst. That was the day I had to get my wisdom teeth taken out. It was pretty horrible. The surgery itself was easy with all the laughing gas and meds I was on, but after that, I think I had just about the worst week of my life. I was constantly falling asleep, I was always on medicine. I couldn'teat ANYTHING, or even open my mouth. My face was swollen as big as a basket ball. In the middle of the night, I would wake up with an incredible firey pain in my mouth. It just.....sucked. After recovering for about a week, Saturday, we left for where I am now! At the moment I'm at the Outer Banks of North Carolina (OBX)!!!! We've been chillaxin at the beach, hanging out at the dunes, shopping, mini golfing, we even went on a dolphin tour a couple days ago! I'll talk about what I've been doing this week in another post, but hopefully this helped us catch up a little bit :)

8th Grade Formal

Last night was the 8th Grade Formal! It was FANTASTIC! Everyone looked great. The people that decorated the cafeteria did an excellent job. I was actually expecting it to be kinda cheesy, but it really wasn't. I hung out with my basties the whole time. We danced, talked, and just had the best time ever. It was a bit awkward when the slow songs came on though, because Megan, Katherine and I were like the only people who weren't slow dancing with a guy. I didn't care though, all I need is mah buds :) Seeing some of the couples there was ADORABLE. Megan, Katherine, and I danced together anyways, and it was great. We took LOTS of pictures that I'll be sure to upload sometime soon. Megan and I asked the DJ to play Blackout, and everyone knew it was us because we sing that song so often! Katherine taught me how to dance a little more and better than I used to, haha. Thanks Katherine! After the dance, my music teacher invited me to go to Sweetfrog with her, Maggie, Olivia, and Cidalia. While we were there we ran into Gillian. It was a crazy spectacular night. I hope to have one like it again sometime.

Last Week

I had absolutely no time to post last week, so I'm just gonna try to sum up all of the wonderous happenings in one post. The Thursday before last, I forgot to mention that I helped Olivia and Cici find a dress for formal! They were gorgeous. When Cici wanted to go into Hollister, me and Olivia acted like we were dying the entire time we were in there. That weekend I went over to my bestie, Megan's house to have a sleepover. We had so much fun, and we got in some time to work on our performance for the talent show. I also went kayaking again at some point. Last week was extremely eventful for me! Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I rode the bus to Courtland after school for mini band camp. The first day wasn't so great, but the other two were! I really love those people. Everyone was really helpful and supportive of each other. Now I know I am most DEFINITELY doing marching band in highschool. Can't wait! Friday was supposed to be field day, but there were chances of storms, so talent show day and field day got switched. I was freaking out when I found out Thurday afternoon, because I wasn't prepared at all to sing in front of a crowd. It was on my bucket list however, so no backing out for me! I found a nice dress and some jewelry that night to wear the next day and I bought the instrumental version of Payphone by Maroon 5 on iTunes. The next morning Megan and I showed up in our dresses in the auditorium. We were third to perform. When we got on stage, my hands got a little shaky. When I'm nervous and I'm trying to hide it or appear confident, it all goes to my hands for whatever reason. Anyway, no one told us when they were starting the music so we didn't have the greatest start in the world. That was okay though, because throughout the rest of the song we had very little, if not noticable at all, errors. Megan and I made the song our own by adding various harmonies and parts to the song. I was shocked when we finished because we got an unbelievable amount of cheers and smiles. Everyone was complimenting us all day about our performance. You guys really boosted my self esteem that day, I'd just like to thank you all for that! I have the most supportive friends anyone could wish for. I'd also like to thank my bestie that sang with me, you were UHMAYZUHNN GURRRLLL!!! Everyone that participated in the show on Friday was great! I luff all of you :) Amazing week, right?

Uhmayzuhnn Thursday

This was like..the best Thursday of the school year. It felt so much like a Friday!!! Today was the last day we dress out in PE. SO HAPPY. In math all we did was make tessalations. It's a bit challenging trying to make a shape, but after I figured out how to make a dove everything was eeeeaaaasssyyyy. After that was band, which is always a load of fun. We literally did nothing in there, with the exception of getting our instruments out to play for a couple minutes. I also got my Solo and Ensemble medals. Science was the best. We competed to see who could build the tallest marshmallow tower. Megan and I were partners. We didn't win, but we had the coolest and the best-built tower! At first it looked like the Empire State building, but we took the top sticks off and for fun twisted it to mak it look like DNA. Our tower was the most popular. WOOTWOOT. I luff mushmallowz.

Ello, Mr. Snakey

I was in my basement messing with that slide show I just put up, and all of a sudden my mom comes running down stairs freaking out. "YOUR DAD IS OUTSIDE PLAYING WITH A SNAKE." Ummm......well now, that's different. Went upstairs, opened the front door, and there I see him in the middle of the yard next to his lawnmower with a stick in his hand, snake hanging from the end of it. I was a bit confused, but at the same time concerned. I'm definitely not wearing flipflops out in the yard anymore....*shivers*. Apparently when my dad was mowing the lawn, some birds swooped down and started to peck the snake, so my dad saved him. Well we wanted to know what the thing was and whether he was poisonous or not, so we did our research for about an hour, and I found out he was a Northern Brown Snake. Completely harmless and not aggressive. We put him in a box so he could move around and so we could look at him a little longer. My mom HATED him with a passion. Even if it's adorable and harmless like the one we found, she doesn't care. "The only good snake is a dead one," she says CONSTANTLY. I petted him and he was extremely smooth. My brother tried to feed him a worm, but he wasn't hungry. Not too long ago we decided he needed to go back to freedom, so we took him outside and released him into the forest. Cute little fellow, isn't he?

New Slideshow

Remember when Slide failed and took off my slideshow? Well, yeah, it did, and I didn't have a slideshow at the top of my page anymore. I replaced the blank boring space with nyan cat, but I found a new slideshow website I can use! There's a website called Picasa where I can upload photos and put it in a slideshow on here. You'll find it if you scroll to the end of my posts on this page. Until I figure out how useful it is and whether or not you people will like it, it will stay down there. If I get some good feedback about it, I'll move it up above all of my posts where it used to be.

Kayaking Trip

Sunday. the day after we bought them, we went kayaking. We asked one of my mom's friends if we could go to her house to use them, and fortunately she said yes! We ended up going to Lake Anna, a really beautiful lake somewhat close by. My dad put both of the kayaks on top of the car, and I was overjoyed. I wasn't nervous like everyone else because I've been canoeing before. It's sort of alike. When we got there, I put on my Intimidator 305 hat, some sunscreen, and claimed a boat first. We only bought two kayaks for a family of four, so we all took turns going out into the lake. It was easier than I thought to get in. I was expecting it to be super uncomfortable, but it felt just fine! Paddling was really easy too. The rest of my family had to get the hang of it to be able to steer themselves properly, but I was pretty good from the start. Kayaking can be hardcore, or pretty relaxing. I raced all of my family members to the shore a few times, and I won each time. It was also really nice to just sit in the middle of the lake a chill. The waves and the view was really relaxing. I hope to go back really soon, because I think kayaking might be one of my new favorite things to do.

Unexpected Purchase

So this weeked, we bought something I never would've thought we'd get. On Saturday, my family and I went to Outback for dinner. GREAT PLACE TO EAT, juss sayin'. Anyways, afterwards for no apparent reason, my Dad wanted to go to Gander Mountain., so we did. If you don't know for some odd reason, it's a big sports store. We found out he actually wanted to go so he could buy himself and expensive gun, but that's not what we ended up getting. We stayed in the store looking around for an unbearable amount of time (I hate sports, sports stores, etc(except baseball)) and we ended up leaving with two kayaks. PURE AMAZINGNESS.....and totally unexpected.

Cookout

Friday, my family and I went to my friend Matthew's house for a cookout. Our family is really good friends with his. We had a great time! We had hot dogs, then me, my brother, Matthew, and his brothers went inside to play the wii. The adults went outside to play poker (my momma won). We stayed over til about midnight, and Saturday was Matthew's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTHEW! But yeah, anywaysss, we all had a great time. I got him a music book with song from movies, and a ton of gum. Cookouts. Are. UHMAYZUHNN.

The Show

The show was absolutely amazing. The eighth grade was up there the longest. We were up there for so long, the concert lasted 30 minutes past the time it was supposed to be over. We played 8 songs that sounded completely flawless. We've put alot of work and effort into band and our music! The band ninjas made awesome poses on the stage in the middle of the concert and Mrs. Steckler loved it. I was teary eyed while playing our last song, Party Rock Anthem, because it my last middle school band concert. The eighth grade band has really bonded together over the years. It's like my second family. When the concert was over and everyone was in the band room putting their instruments away, many of us cried. We love each other so much, and the concert was absolutely amazing! WOOWOOT for the SMS Band :)

Ay. Ayo. Ay, Yo Dawg.

Tomorrow night is the amazingly awesome Spring Band concert! We're playing a grand total of 7 pieces, with a ton of hard work put behind them. This'll be my last middle school concert, so come support my band at Spotsy at 7:00 pm. You're most definitely welcome to bring friends! I have a really good feeling you will know a few of the pieces. I'm more excited than ever. I just love playing the baritone, and now the band is like my second family. We've all grown so close over the years, it's gonna hurt next year when we all have to be seperated because of the different high schools we have to go to. Well guys, don't stress, don't worry, and have fun, because tomorrow's show is for the eighth graders to shine!

Band Party

Friday after school, the 8th grade had a band party. It wasn't the best in the world, but it was still pretty fun. I loved prank calling people and playing frisbee with Katherine! I scared off a few with my signature death throw. That'll fix em :) When we went in, everyone ate the cookies my mom made. Seriously. you people are OBSESSED. I only got one!!! Well anyways, then we went in the gym and kinda ust did whatever. We pretty much just hung out, but at one point me and olivia dared Koz to "propose" to Ben. It was really funny. Ben looked into his eyes and everything!!! Just about made my day. But WAIT- it gets better. After that, Koz walked around the gym like a stripper girl. Thatmade the whole freaking week! On a Drive

Right now, I’m actually not at school. I’m on a long drive to an appointment. Sooooo bored! I really hope I don’t have much homework from missing today. It’s a B Day, so all I‘d have are PE, math, band, and science. I doubt I’d do much in math since we just took the SOL on Tuesday. I’m a little sad about missing band however, because I think Mrs. Steckler is giving the Mob Busters and Party Rock Anthem pieces out. Can’t wait til the concert next week. It’s gonna be amazing! We’re gonna play all of our super awesome pieces that we worked on this year, and the tradition of playing Rockin’ Robin. Anyways, missing science shouldn’t be too bad since we don’t ever do anything in that class on a regular day. It’s probably 6th grade review day, but that’s what I kept my old science notebook for! The SOL for science is next week I think. Shouldn’t be too bad. I’m probably gonna post alot today since I am BORED OUT OF MY MIND. Soooo…enjoy?

I know this is a day late, but happy birthday to Ellie! You are such a rabid squirrel, but we all still love you. Even though when I first met ya you clawed me and got stuck to my jeans, I still think you iz da sweetest thang on da planet. Your hair is sooooooooo freaking soft and fuzzy! I've thought about shoving you in my bag and taking you home after sleepovers, but I don't wanna get sued or go to jail. On second thought, it's worth it, I'm taking you with me next time and I will claim you to be MY OWN. Mommy Rooster is gonna give you a big hug for me, kay? Luv you, Ellie! PS: If it didn't occur to you already for some strange reason, Ellie is a cat.

Dear Mommy Rooster

Why don't you get a blog? It's eaaassy peaaasy. Even though I've always thought that's a stupid phrase. But yeah anyway, it's simple. Mommy Rooster, you already have a google account, so it's easy for you to make a blog. I'm pretty sure you just hit sign in and type in your google info, then create a blog. When and if you do, I can help you pretty it up and such! That part was actully pretty hard and took me awhile, but that's only because I taught myself with no help. The cool thing about blogger, is that you can see who views your blog, what type of system they're using, where they're from, and how they got to your page. So right now, I know that there are alot of people that view my blog on iphones and get here mostly from facebook, and I now know that there are some people that google my name. I also know that I get the second most number of views from Russia! HELLO RUSSIANS! Anyways, sorry I didn't mention the orkadorks, so to all of those people out there reading this at the moment the orkadorks from Spotsy got third place and a superior YEAH WOOTWOOT GO ORCHESTRA! I love you Mommy Rooster :3

KD Music Trip

Had the BEST time ever yesterday. That truly was one of the most awesome days I've had! Chorus, Orchestra, and Band people from a ton of schools performed at Hanover High School and then headed to King's Dominion to have fun and get their results. Megan, Nick, Olivia, Cidalia, Leah, Maggie H, Gillian, and Sydney were in my group. We all went on almost every ride in the park. There were long lines for everything at first, but alot of people left after it started pouring outside. My friends and I all danced in the rain and got completely soaked. We all screamed a ton and rode the biggest rides in the park. On the ghoster coaster, Megan and I pretended to be afraid and crying. Two little girls at first tried to make us feel better, but later in the ride they screamed at us and told us to shut up. It was histerical!!! After that, we headed to a pavillion thing to get the results for our band performance. The SMS band got first place! We all screamed as loud as possible and ran to give Mrs. Steckler a hug. The band is such a family! The rest of the night we rode wild rides, talked, laughed, screamed, and continued to have an absolutely amazing time. The only bad thing that happened on the trip, was the battery on the second bus died. We got home around midnight and everyone on the second bus had to squeeze together on my bus. It was all worth it though! I LOVE YOU GUYS! Photo credit to Maggie H :)

Speeding and Falling and Spinning and Flipping

I went to KD for the first time this year last night. My mom and I only had an hour to hang out there if we wanted to go to Coldstone after, but luckily there were no lines for anything! The first thing I headed for was the brand new ride called the Windseeker, towering 301 feet into the sky. On the top I was going to look for the Richmond International Raceway, where my brother and dad were, but I was enjoying myself so much that I kinda forgot. The wind on my face felt soooo great, but it was freezing. If you ever get hot at KD during the summer, head to the Windseeker. It'll cool you off alot. On the way up they played sparkly cutesy unicorn music. I found it kind of funny. After that great ride, my mom and I ran to the Volcano. We ran right on and sat in the third seat from the front. The ride is definitely one of my favorites, but I wish it was longer. It only lasts about a minute, if not less. Because it was my first roller coaster ride this year, I was scared all over again. We started slowly, and the second it hit a certain spot it took off and shot us up and straight out of the volcano. At the same time, they blew warm fire up out of it to make it look like an explosion. It was amazing as always! I like how smooth and free the ride is. The flipping and turning is exciting. After that, I got my mom to ride the Flight of Fear with me. It was her first time on that, so she had absolutely no clue what to expect. The look on her face was unbelievable when the coaster we were watching took off. She was worried it was too fast and would make her throw up. When we sat in the cars, we started talking. They didn't have a countdown to takeoff this time, so in the middle of my mom's sentence we took off like a rocket, lightning fast. It was nothing more than the Dominator in the dark after the takeoff though. After a TON of convincing, I got my mom on the Intimidator 305 afterwards. You wouldn't believe how much persuading it took to get her on that one. I HAD to get on it while we were there and there were no lines because I missed the thing soooooo bad! On the way up the 305 foot tall hill, I felt the most excitement EVER. The drop was incredible. It feels like you're flying! The turns remind me of a nascar, racing to the big finish. The Intimidator will ALWAYS be my favorite, and I think I've made that obvious to just about everybody on the planet. My night of speeding and falling and spinning and flipping was fantastical!!!

Tree Pictures

I'm not sure why, but I really like taking pictures of trees. Not just regular trees though. I like to take pictures of trees with long spread out branches with a certain lighting, such as this one. The lighting makes the sky look bright a vivid, yet the tree is a really dark shade. I have more pictures like this one that I'll post sometime. After all, I do wish to be a photographer!

This is...Jeopardy!

Now don't you dare call me a geek! It was alot more fun than I actually expected. On Saturday my family and I went up to DC to see a few tapings of Jeopardy. They picked politicians to participate in these rounds. The practice rounds were really funny. They missed some of the easiest questions ever!!! On one of the categories, each of the answers to the questions had to be seven letters wrong. They showed a paralellagram on the screen and asked for another name for it, and none of the contestants new it was a rhombus. There were alot of other funny moments, but they're too hard to explain through text. I thought seeing Jeopardy would be the most boring thing EVER, but it turned out to be pretty spectacular. You're probably gonna see the episode on TV and be like, "What's so special about this?" but it's a whole other story in person. Alex (the Jeopardy dude) actually answered alot of questions people in the audience asked him during commercial breaks. I did think it was incredibly stupid though that some girl asked him if he likes One Direction. HATE THAT BAND. Anyways, I had a great time up in DC on Saturday!

Sickness

I have been sitting at home since Thursday. I've missed three days of school and my mom is going to pick up my makeup work later today. I'm scared! I'm going to be buried in work! I'm also going to have to make up the PE tests I missed tomorrow. Push ups are not my thing -__________-. I haven't texted most of you very much or at all because for most of the time I've been home, I've been sleeping or glued to the TV. Everytime I took my medicine for the sore throat I've had, I'd fall asleep immediately. My throat still hurts a little bit. Now I'm coughing a little and I still feel icky. My plan was actually to go to school today, but I woke up feeling horrible. I'm going to school FOR SURE tomorrow. It's a day I definitely cannot miss. Solo and Ensemble is tomorrow! I performing in a duet as well as a trio. I'm really hoping I'll have time to practice with my people tomorrow because there are still a few places in the music I think need to be clarified or touched up a bit. Last year I wan't nervous, but this time I am for some reason! It's probably just because I haven't gotten to lay with my groups much and I'm a bit scare my sickness is gonna cause problems for me tomorrow. The pieces we picked are rather challenging too. Wish me luck! I'm hoping to keep my Superior streak going. Surely I'll get over this sickness completely by tomorrow...maybe?

Rollercoaster Craving

I seriously want to go to King's Dominion right now. I'm gonna get a pass soon, but I haven't yet. This weekend we're going to see a taping of jeoprody, so I'm not sure I can do it this weekend either. AHHHH!!! I must go soon. It hurts whenever I hear about someone else's amazing trip to KD. I'm missing out on the adrenaline, speed, and excitement. When I do get my pass, I wanna go with each of my friends at some point. Soooo.... SCHEDULE A TIME WITH MWAH :) I must warn you incase you don't already know though, I like the big stuff. But that's kinda obvious. The windseeker is one of the first things I want to ride. Before anything however, I'm getting on that Intimidator 305. You know why? It's because I am craving some rollercoaster.

Amazing Spring Break

Spring Break was absolutely AMAZING! I did a ton of stuff. I ate a ton of candy on Easter, went to Westmoreland and found 78 shark teeth, went bowling, went to New York city, had a sleepover with Olivia and Cidalia (and while I was there realized how great of a show "So Random" is), hung out with Megan, got a haircut, and went to the mall with Craig. There's probably a few things I forgot here and there, but that pretty much sums up all the best stuff. New York City was really enjoyable. I love the skyscrapers and lights soooo much! Standing in the middle of Times Square is overwhelming, there's so much to look at! I'm pretty sad that the nice break is now over, but then again I kinda missed my friends. Also, there's actually not that much longer until school lets out either.... :]

Debate Tournament 2012

Well, my last middle school debate was actually one of the most fun for me. I really enjoyed it. Megan and I did pretty great for the circumtances we were in. We were more prepared than ever this time, and extremely determined to get first place. Unfortunately we didn't get first, but we still did excellent. Megan and I got 6th place. I feel that we would have gotten higher if it weren't for the biased judge in round three and the bye we got in round one. The opposing side's partner showed up extra late, so the judge counted it as a forfiet. That was counted as a win for us, but it also meant that the points we got in round 2 and 3 would be averaged up to get the number of points we'd get in the first round. My partner and I did supercalifragilisticexpialadocious in rounds 2 and 3. I felt that we should've won both, but we only won the second. That's okay for me though, because in the third round we went against the top team, and the judge was biased. Megan and I are most definitely going to try for first when we are in highschool next year, so to those other schools' teams, THIS IS NOT OVER. Congrats to all the Spotsy kids that participated in the tournament!

Happy April, Merry Spring Break!

Sooooo it's April, and it's also Spring Break! We actually got out on Thursday, which was pretty nice since I felt like last week lasted a million days anyway. We're not going to West Virginia this time like we usually do, but we've got other awesomely awesome stuff planned! In 30 minutes, it's Easter. Prettttty sikkeeeed :D. The only problem is that for whatever reason everyone in my house has been in a bad mood. Luckily, I'm not gonna let that good stuff get to me and I'm just gonna worry about me and the happiness I'm gonna get this Spring Break! I'm mostly excited about Thursday. My family and I are gonna go on a bus trip to New York City! I love and miss that place sooo much. I'm hoping this trip will be better than my first. My first trip was fun, but scary and somewhat irritating, then again that was around Christmas time. Surely not as many people will be there on Thursday. I saved up all of my money so I can do a little shopping while I'm there. I'm going to go on a boat to see the Statue of Liberty, see the 9/11 memorial, go to the Hershey's store, go up the Empire State building, and do whatever else I can find to fit in my schedule for the day. This week shall be uhmayzuhnn. Happy April, Merry Spring Break, and have a spectacular Easter!

Preparing For Saturday

Saturday is the Great Debate! It's FINALLY gonna be held at my school this year. I'm really excited but I'm super duper nervous D: Megan and I are really hoping to get first this time. Right now I'm fixing up the speech and coming up with some attacks on the opposing side. The topic is: The United States has a moral obligation to help other nations that are in crisis. I was picked to be on the pro side, so I'm agreeing with the resolution. Yesterday I got a really nice dress to wear to the debate because this will be my last one. I'm praying that Megan and I get first! If we do and someone records the final round, I'll be sure to post it!

I can't wait for the next movie to come out! I hop it's as good as this one was. THANK YOU FOR INVITING ME MEGAN!!! That was soooo much fun. We ate alot of popcorn and candy. The Hunger Games

Happy Hunger Games! I'm going to the premiere tonight, and I am soooooo siked! Megan invited me to go. MEGAN, I LOVE YOU! We're actually going to the 12:01 show, but it's only one minute, still considered the premiere. I actually am one of the only people in school that hasn't read the book, so I think I'm going to sometime after I watch the movie. Everyone tells me that it's the best book they've ever read! In that case, I REALLY cannot wait to see the movie :]

We Need A Bunny Suit. Pronto.

I'm not even joking, the NJHS fundraising committee needs a bunny suit for a fundraiser we're planning. It's quite urgent, so if you have one or know where we can buy or rent one, PLEASE let me know. We can't get anything incredibly expensive, so we prefer the lower prices. Don't hesitate, email me or comment some info if you have one or know where I can get one. We need it SOON. Really, really, really soon. My email address is dccrabbygirl@gmail.com. Like I said, DO NOT hesitate. Whatever info you've got helps. If you don't know of anywhere to get one, at least send others this post! You never know who might own a bunny suit. Thanks a bunch! :D

Sky Rocket

Wow, my views are really sky rocketing today! I noticed I've gonna a ton of views on my post about virgin mobile....? Ummmm okay! That's an interesting post to have payed attention to but either way, lol. I'm starting to think about Vlogging again, mosty because ast time I mentioned doing it I wussed out. Sometimes I'm just not sure of wha to talk about! Oh well, most of you people know me and for those who don't, I usually run my mouth for long periods of time. WOOTWOOT FOR A SKY ROCKETING BLOG! Thanks guys :)

Virgin Mobile Down

Apperently there's a huge nationwide problem with virgin mobile. No one can recieve or send texts, only call. My phone service is virgin mobile, so I'm pretty upset about that. If I don't reply, I apologize. Please text my iPod number! I wonder what could've possibly happened to cause a problem so huge. It's not even just a few phones either, it's EVERYONE! I'm pretty disappointed with my phone service because they don't seem so reliable. I could be alone or having an emergency, and I would never have known that my phone wasn't working! I'd just have to keep trying and trying to send people text messages and get help! Ridiculous. Shun you, virgin mobile.

I Really Love People

I love people soooo much. They make me smile. I'm not aiming this towards one person, rather I'm aiming it towards all of my friends and family. To the person that's reading this right now, I love you. No matter who you are. Just reading my blog at all makes me smile, and it shows that I have a few people out there that actually care about what I have to say. It really is the little things in life. I'm pretty sure I mentioned in a previous post that the littlest things make the largest impact. I'm not even just saying that to sound all nice or inspirational, I really mean it. The smallest things people do for me are the things that effect my feelings, thoughts, and life the most. Continue to be your awesomely awesome self, because I lOVE ALL OF YOU THE WAY YOU ARE!

FreeKibble

Have you been clicking on the link to FreeKibble? FreeKibble is a website you can go to to help hungry cats and dogs. To help. go to FreeKibble.com and answer the two daily questions. No matter if you get it wrong or right, FreeKibble donates 10 pieces of kibble per question you answer. It's really sweet! It literally takes seconds to do and the littlest things leave the biggest impact. Even if you're too lazy to type it into the address bar, just come to my blog and click on the link to the right. Thanks! xoxoxoxox

That Horrifying Moment

I'm sitting on a big chair in a little room with my mom, the surgeon, and his assistant. I really hope the whole the wisdom teeth thing is just some huge mistake. I just got done with my xray. I hate the big machine that spins around my head. Why did they need another xray if I just gave them a picture of my last one? Grrr. Oh my. This is horrible. Now I'm struck with fear and dread. From the surgeon, I hear the words "She's gonna have to have surgery soon. She's gonna sleep and we're gonna take her top and bottom ones out." Why me? Why do my teeth have to be so naughty and terrible? He just said that I'm gonna need another xray too. Kill me.

Creepy

Well I'm finally here, and the place I'm at is called "Virginia Facial and Oral Surgery". It's in this big medical park thing with a bunch of other dental places and different types of surgeons. It's kinda creepy and I don't like it, but thats just me. I find it kinda awkward that in the middle of all the medical poop there sits a Bonefish Grill. Awkwurrrrd. For some reason I'm really nervous, and I don't know why. It probably has something to do with the fact that the word "surgery" is in the name of the place I'm at. I'm scared the dude is gonna tell me that I need wisdom teeth surgery soon. I've never had surgery! AHHHHHH! Why do medical procedures have to be so dang creepy?

Windseeker

I just saw the windseeker at King's Dominion, and the thing is freaking HUGE. I saw it spinning, so I guess they were testing it out. It spins WHILE it's lowering. I bet that could REALLY give someone a stomach ache. This ride reaches an unbelievable height. It's taller than the drop zone! I'm jealous of the lucky park employees that are getting to test out such an amazing ride today.

Mobile Version

On my way to Richmond! As I pulled up my blog on my phone, I realized it takes kinda long to load up the page. would you like it better if I set my blog to a mobile version when you open it up on devices such as phones and iPods? The mobile version doesn't have all the graphics and such that are usually up. It's mainly words and my posts. Soooo comment below and tell me whatcha think?

Back to Once a Day

Remember how I used to post at least once a day? I'm gonan try to go back to that. I'm becoming less busy now that I don;t have all kinds of projects and such to worry about. I love free time so much, it really is a gift. Anyways, all I really have now is Debate stuff and Solo and Ensemble, which shouldn't consume too much of my time. Another reason I stopped posting once a day is because I actuallt get kinda sick of writing everyday after while, especially when I've been working alot. I occasionally have these periods of time where I just stop. After those short periods of time, I'm usually back and writing all the time again, like now. I've made 7 posts already TODAY, this being the 8th. I'm probably gonna post a ton in the next few days to make up for my unusually long break from blogging. Plus, I'm super bored. Post awaaaaaaay :D

Underwater Bedroom

Ever since I was really little, I've wanted an ocean themed room. Right now my room is purple, and just kinda girly. I'm gonna wait untl we get a new house, but I really want to make my underwater room dream come alive. It would be blue with painted fishes and mystical creatures all over the walls. There would be sand at the bottom with corals and seaweeds. The carpet would be a sand color. Throughout my room I would have things decorated with seashells and animals that live on the ocean floor. The room would hopefully have a lamp where I can adjust the brightness, depending on how I'm feeling. I'd have lava lamps with blues and greens, maybe some things hanging from the ceiling. How does that sound?

Hyper, Yet Inspirational For Doctors and Dentists

It's 10 and I'm really hyper and I'm not sure why. I didn't have mountain dew, so it wasn't that. Maybe it was the cookies I just had(yummmmm). How am I supposed to sleep!?!?!?!?! On second thought I guess it doesn't really matter since I'm not going to school tomorrow. Trust me, I wish I was. Instead of having a fun day with my friends, I have to go to a Dentist or something in Richmond to get my wisdom teeth looked at. Apperently they need to be checked now because my Ortho said that they WILL cause problems in my future. Nice to know, eh? -.- The point is, I do not enjoy pain OR peoples hands near my face. So please. Just. Go. Away. I wish there was a way to check and clean teeth without people being so close to your face. Unfortunately the world is probably always going to be like this, awakward people having their hands in your mouth, being all up in your face to try to see something. I hate doctors and dentists. At the same time, I feel kinda bad for them because they're not really appreciated that much. People in this world today (like me) hate on dentists and doctors because they're all up in their personal space. What we don't dig out from deep inside is that we actually appreciate these people for healing us. I actually never really thought of any of that until now. I'm feeling extremely inspirational and sympathetic at the moment. Just because I said all this, I shall thank the dental dude that's gonna tell me about my teeth tomorrow. WOOTWOOT for doctors and dentists, they deserve it.

Stumped.

I'm not sure why it happens and it's extremely irritating, but I'll have all these things in my head I wanna ask or tell someone, but when I see or talk to that person, I just lose it all. All of a sudden my mind is completely clear, I have nothing to talk about, and I can't think of ANYTHING at all, yet I still want to talk to that person. I'm afraid it makes that person think I'm boring or annoying. I REALLY HOPE that person doesn't think that, because trust me, when I'm with others I'm always full of interesting conversations. It used to be easier to talk to that person, maybe because I always got to see that person. Sadly I don't anymore. When I occasionally do get to see this person, my thoughts run away and I am simply stumped. Wordless. Thoughtless. Stumped.

No Moar Slideshow

Unfortunately for whatever reason the Slide website shut down, so I no longer have my slideshow at the top of the page. I thought tht was a great way to share my pics with you without filling up my page, but now I have to figure out a different way. The top of my blog looked kinda blankish when I took it off, so to fill the space for now all I could find was Nyan Cat. Sooo....I really hope you like Nyan Cat. Luckily there's no sound effects added (or at least I didn't think so), so it can't possibly annoy you that bad. All it is is a flying poptart cat. If you know of any websites that I can use for a slideshow on my blog, please let me know!

Festival

This is pretty much old news for everybody now, but the week before last my band went to festival. We practiced a ton so we could get a superior rating. Some people were nervous, but I really wasn't that nervous. I was excited for a few reasons.
1. I just love my band.
2. I enjoy performing.
3. I was prepared to get a superior.
4. I was gonna get to see my bf that I hadn't seen in months <3
Fortunately I did get to see him AND my band got a superior. It was quite embarassing though because at the end of the performance I dropped my baritone and knocked over a stand. Luckily, before they hit the floor, I made a crazy ninja move and caught both of them. Everyone performed great! I'm gonna miss this band next year.

Sleeping and Eating Fondant

Last night i had a sleepover with one of my besties, Olivia. It was so fun! At one point her pie went airborn. Anywayssssss, I was really tired today, so all I did was sleep. Occassionally I would get up and go steal some fondant from my Dad and bro, since they were baking a cake for some boy scout thing tomorrow. I love fondant so much! I always get to eat it because no one else likes it for whatever odd reason they may have. It's 12:00am now and I'm not really that tired since I slept all day, so I don't really have much to do. I just got done painting my nails and I guess I'm gonna try to go to sleep in a bit. I had such a wonderful lazy day.

Android

Did I ever mention that I got an android not too long ago? EEEEEK. Love it. I think I love it more than the iPhone. I have a full plan on it with unlimited texting and data, it's AMAZING! Now I can keep in touch with my friends more. It has a nice, smooth touch screen with four buttons at the bottom to make life quite easy. It has volume and camera buttons on the side, just incase there's a moment you just gotta have on tape. If you don't have my number already, email me! :)

No, I Do Not Listen to Dubstep. I listen to Electronica Instrumentals.

"BWAHAHA. Electronica instrumentals? You're such a freak." Many months later....."OMG do you listen to dubstep?!?!?! Best. Music. EVAR." So everyone in the history of the universe started freaking out over this new music called "Dubstep". I got annoyed hearing about it so much, because I had no clue what it was. Last night I was listening to my Electonica instrumental radio station on pandora, then I realized one of the song's albums was called "Dubstep Hits" or something like that. Okay, so all of you people that made fun of me listening to my electronica instumentals obviously know nothing. Some of that "cool" dubstep music you're listening to happens to be my favorite music, which you made fun of not too long ago. Before you decide to make fun of something, make sure you've at least heard it or know what it is. I refuse to call ELECTRONICA INSTRUMENTALS dubstep. kThanxbai.

All District

Boy, my mouth is killing me. The concery was super amazing though! We played four songs. In order, they were called Precision, Incantation and Shadow Dance, Crazy for Cartoons, and Jungle Dance. My favorite two were Crazy for Cartoons and Jungle Dance. I loved our director, he was histerical! I'm just a bit confused about who I'm supposed to me. A Euohonium specialist told me that euphonium actually means beautiful sounds or something like that. The director told me that I need to think of myself as a brick, and my instrument is good for nothing but starting wars. So..... who exactly am I???

Dear 2012, I Love You

We're only a month into 2012, and I'm already on the impression that this might turn into the best year ever. Friday was one of my favorite days of this year so far. I did absolutely nothing productive that day, just fun stuff! Saturday, I got a beast couch and chair for the basement. They're really fat sorta remind me of marshmallows. Sunday, well....Sunday..... Awesome things happened :). I love people, and let's not forget 2012 as well.

Pentagon

I went to the pentagon Monday! That place is AMAZING. Did you know that if you walked through all of it, you would walk about 17 miles? WOW! The pentagon is hugeee. It looks fun in there. There's a chocolate store, best buy, dentist, and all kinds of other random things in there. Why the heck do they need that stuff??? LOL! They also have a florist and a redbox station! That place is so freaking awesome!!!

100% Metal Mouth

I went to school for 1st block yesterday then left to get my bottom braces on. I was originally gonna come back to take a history test, but they hurt way too bad! Now I have to make that up next week. Today I have a math exam that I absolutely can not miss under and circumstance, so I have to come to school. I slept in this morning and missed PE, because I don't really need to go to that. At about 9:20 I'm gonna leave here to take the stupid exam, so wish me luck! I really don't wanna go, because my mouth hurts like FIRE! It's worse than yesterday, and medicine is NOT helping! AHHHHHHHH. Now I'm 100% metal mouth.

Results

There were a TON of people auditioning for All District Band yesterday. I got there early, too! I dressed up all jazzy and musicy for the occasion, as you can see in the above picture ^.^ I'm happy and proud to be musical! I met some really nice baritones while I was in line to audition. I got quite aggravated in the warm up room however, because when I would play a scale or do a few techniques to help me, other baritones would watch and copy me. Anyway, the audition was great! I did amazing on my scales, messed up a few times on my prepared, and sightreading was...... well...... that's another story. I got the results last night, and you won't beleive what I got. I got exactly the same thing as last year, 1st chair concert band! I personally think I did better than last year because there were more baritones, but that's just me. Anyway, I'M SO HAPPY!

Perfect Week

This week might have been mabe just a little tiny bit less than perfect, but it was still freaking awesome. Everybody was really cool this week, everything always worked out in some way, and I was just in a golden mood all week. My friends are really great, they're all so special! There wasn't ever too much homework, so I had plenty of time to just chill. I also got alot of time to practice for All District tryouts tomorrow. Hopefully my tryout will make my week completely perfect and nothing less! Good luck to all of my friends at Spotsy trying out! Wouldn't it be great if we took the majority of the chairs in the bands? AMAZINGNESS! I would die, if that happened, lol. At the moment my scales are perfect, chromatic is good but caan be sloppy in a few places, and I need to fix up a few slurs on my prepared. By the way, if you leave auditions tomorrow thinking you totally suck, you don't! First of all, you had the guts to tryout, so that is super great. Second, there's still hope! When I tried out for All County, I came home more upset than ever! But wait a second- What chair did I make? 1st. You guys can do it, I know it. If you don't make it, that's okay too! I know for a fact that you are all amazing players. You probably just had a bad audition! It's fine. Sooooo, like, what up with you? :]

Tuesday, January 10, 2012

Woooooaaaah.

It's only Tuesday right? Gosh. This week has been extremely interesting. I've heard some unexpected things and stuff I ended up being right about. I've also met some new people! 2012 has started off very well, I think it should stay like the way it's been lately. Today was great, I'm hoping to have a day just as fun tomorrow. By the way, I forgot to mention my dream that I was a NASCAR racer. Go -1 sponsored by Braum's and Apple! (I told you Braum's was a dream stalker)

Braums Stalks My Dreams

Last night, I had an awesome action packed dream, but one thing I noticed is that there were a ton of Braum's everywhere!!! It was great! I actually went to a really big one in the dream. When I woke up this morning, I realized that in evey dream I've had lately, there's been at least one Braum's. Could I be obsessed? Or is Braum's just a dream stalker?

:)

Dear readers, I think I love you.

Fun Friends, Great Day

Ello, and happy Friday to you! Today was amazing! I love my friends sooo much, they're the greatest things ever. The only actual work I did at school today is when I had to finish up my science test, and that wasn't so bad at all. History was sooo fun, I got to hang out with a few of my besties when we were doing nothing (which was most of the class). They are tooooo funny. I luff you Leah and Gillian! I had alot of fun a lunch with Megan, and some more fun with Olivia and a few others in core. In French I tried to tell Josh a story about something that happened while I was speaking French. People are toooo awesome. Now I'm outside, and what a beautiful day it is out here! Great Friday, man I tell ya :)

Project, School, Studying, Bleh.

I hate projects soooo bad!! I would just like to thank Gillian and Leah for giving me the hardest slide of the project -.- Goodness gracious. Well I have this stupid project in world history, where I have to tell about a Greek god or goddess or hero. Gllian, Leah, and I picked Apollo. I've been having trouble finding some achievements of him, but now I've got a few. Now I'm taking a break to get a snack and post on here. After I'm through with this, I have to study for a really big science test that I'm gonna have to take tomorrow. Wish me luck! Everyone I've talked to has said it was easy, so I shouldn't have too much to worry about. Then again, the people I've talked to are also good at studying... gaaah. I hate studying, and I'm not very good at it either. Reading in the science textbook is also really boring, but unfortunately there's a few things in there that I need tp brush up on. Blah, I wish I could sleep instead. I am freaking TIRED!!! I stayed up until... well.... Dark:30 last night finishing up a Christmas present I gave someone today. My head really hurts too :/ Oh and I forgot to mention that earlier I had to give my broken Euphonium a bath. -_____________- I hope I can get all of my stuff done quickly, and without a probem.

2012

Happy 2012! I wonder what's gonna come for me this year. I hope this year is the bestest ever! All we can do is hope. I'm gonna try to make the best out of this new year and live life awesomely!

I have a challenge for you guys! Megan and I got through an HOUR STRAIGHT of this, how long can you last? You aren't allowed to stop watching, even for a fraction of a second. If you have to go to the bathroom, take your iPhone with you. If all fails, just turn the volume up loud enough so you can hear it. Comment on the Nyan Cat post and tell me how long you lasted!
