Speeding and Falling and Spinning and Flipping

I went to KD for the first time this year last night. My mom and I only had an hour to hang out there if we wanted to go to Coldstone after, but luckily there were no lines for anything! The first thing I headed for was the brand new ride called the Windseeker, towering 301 feet into the sky. On the top I was going to look for the Richmond International Raceway, where my brother and dad were, but I was enjoying myself so much that I kinda forgot. The wind on my face felt soooo great, but it was freezing. If you ever get hot at KD during the summer, head to the Windseeker. It'll cool you off alot. On the way up they played sparkly cutesy unicorn music. I found it kind of funny. After that great ride, my mom and I ran to the Volcano. We ran right on and sat in the third seat from the front. The ride is definitely one of my favorites, but I wish it was longer. It only lasts about a minute, if not less. Because it was my first roller coaster ride this year, I was scared all over again. We started slowly, and the second it hit a certain spot it took off and shot us up and straight out of the volcano. At the same time, they blew warm fire up out of it to make it look like an explosion. It was amazing as always! I like how smooth and free the ride is. The flipping and turning is exciting. After that, I got my mom to ride the Flight of Fear with me. It was her first time on that, so she had absolutely no clue what to expect. The look on her face was unbelievable when the coaster we were watching took off. She was worried it was too fast and would make her throw up. When we sat in the cars, we started talking. They didn't have a countdown to takeoff this time, so in the middle of my mom's sentence we took off like a rocket, lightning fast. It was nothing more than the Dominator in the dark after the takeoff though. After a TON of convincing, I got my mom on the Intimidator 305 afterwards. You wouldn't believe how much persuading it took to get her on that one. I HAD to get on it while we were there and there were no lines because I missed the thing soooooo bad! On the way up the 305 foot tall hill, I felt the most excitement EVER. The drop was incredible. It feels like you're flying! The turns remind me of a nascar, racing to the big finish. The Intimidator will ALWAYS be my favorite, and I think I've made that obvious to just about everybody on the planet. My night of speeding and falling and spinning and flipping was fantastical!!!

Tree Pictures

I'm not sure why, but I really like taking pictures of trees. Not just regular trees though. I like to take pictures of trees with long spread out branches with a certain lighting, such as this one. The lighting makes the sky look bright a vivid, yet the tree is a really dark shade. I have more pictures like this one that I'll post sometime. After all, I do wish to be a photographer!

This is...Jeopardy!

Now don't you dare call me a geek! It was alot more fun than I actually expected. On Saturday my family and I went up to DC to see a few tapings of Jeopardy. They picked politicians to participate in these rounds. The practice rounds were really funny. They missed some of the easiest questions ever!!! On one of the categories, each of the answers to the questions had to be seven letters wrong. They showed a paralellagram on the screen and asked for another name for it, and none of the contestants new it was a rhombus. There were alot of other funny moments, but they're too hard to explain through text. I thought seeing Jeopardy would be the most boring thing EVER, but it turned out to be pretty spectacular. You're probably gonna see the episode on TV and be like, "What's so special about this?" but it's a whole other story in person. Alex (the Jeopardy dude) actually answered alot of questions people in the audience asked him during commercial breaks. I did think it was incredibly stupid though that some girl asked him if he likes One Direction. HATE THAT BAND. Anyways, I had a great time up in DC on Saturday!

Sickness

I have been sitting at home since Thursday. I've missed three days of school and my mom is going to pick up my makeup work later today. I'm scared! I'm going to be buried in work! I'm also going to have to make up the PE tests I missed tomorrow. Push ups are not my thing -__________-. I haven't texted most of you very much or at all because for most of the time I've been home, I've been sleeping or glued to the TV. Everytime I took my medicine for the sore throat I've had, I'd fall asleep immediately. My throat still hurts a little bit. Now I'm coughing a little and I still feel icky. My plan was actually to go to school today, but I woke up feeling horrible. I'm going to school FOR SURE tomorrow. It's a day I definitely cannot miss. Solo and Ensemble is tomorrow! I performing in a duet as well as a trio. I'm really hoping I'll have time to practice with my people tomorrow because there are still a few places in the music I think need to be clarified or touched up a bit. Last year I wan't nervous, but this time I am for some reason! It's probably just because I haven't gotten to lay with my groups much and I'm a bit scare my sickness is gonna cause problems for me tomorrow. The pieces we picked are rather challenging too. Wish me luck! I'm hoping to keep my Superior streak going. Surely I'll get over this sickness completely by tomorrow...maybe?

Rollercoaster Craving

I seriously want to go to King's Dominion right now. I'm gonna get a pass soon, but I haven't yet. This weekend we're going to see a taping of jeoprody, so I'm not sure I can do it this weekend either. AHHHH!!! I must go soon. It hurts whenever I hear about someone else's amazing trip to KD. I'm missing out on the adrenaline, speed, and excitement. When I do get my pass, I wanna go with each of my friends at some point. Soooo.... SCHEDULE A TIME WITH MWAH :) I must warn you incase you don't already know though, I like the big stuff. But that's kinda obvious. The windseeker is one of the first things I want to ride. Before anything however, I'm getting on that Intimidator 305. You know why? It's because I am craving some rollercoaster.

Amazing Spring Break

Spring Break was absolutely AMAZING! I did a ton of stuff. I ate a ton of candy on Easter, went to Westmoreland and found 78 shark teeth, went bowling, went to New York city, had a sleepover with Olivia and Cidalia (and while I was there realized how great of a show "So Random" is), hung out with Megan, got a haircut, and went to the mall with Craig. There's probably a few things I forgot here and there, but that pretty much sums up all the best stuff. New York City was really enjoyable. I love the skyscrapers and lights soooo much! Standing in the middle of Times Square is overwhelming, there's so much to look at! I'm pretty sad that the nice break is now over, but then again I kinda missed my friends. Also, there's actually not that much longer until school lets out either.... :]

Debate Tournament 2012

Well, my last middle school debate was actually one of the most fun for me. I really enjoyed it. Megan and I did pretty great for the circumtances we were in. We were more prepared than ever this time, and extremely determined to get first place. Unfortunately we didn't get first, but we still did excellent. Megan and I got 6th place. I feel that we would have gotten higher if it weren't for the biased judge in round three and the bye we got in round one. The opposing side's partner showed up extra late, so the judge counted it as a forfiet. That was counted as a win for us, but it also meant that the points we got in round 2 and 3 would be averaged up to get the number of points we'd get in the first round. My partner and I did supercalifragilisticexpialadocious in rounds 2 and 3. I felt that we should've won both, but we only won the second. That's okay for me though, because in the third round we went against the top team, and the judge was biased. Megan and I are most definitely going to try for first when we are in highschool next year, so to those other schools' teams, THIS IS NOT OVER. Congrats to all the Spotsy kids that participated in the tournament!

Happy April, Merry Spring Break!

Sooooo it's April, and it's also Spring Break! We actually got out on Thursday, which was pretty nice since I felt like last week lasted a million days anyway. We're not going to West Virginia this time like we usually do, but we've got other awesomely awesome stuff planned! In 30 minutes, it's Easter. Prettttty sikkeeeed :D. The only problem is that for whatever reason everyone in my house has been in a bad mood. Luckily, I'm not gonna let that good stuff get to me and I'm just gonna worry about me and the happiness I'm gonna get this Spring Break! I'm mostly excited about Thursday. My family and I are gonna go on a bus trip to New York City! I love and miss that place sooo much. I'm hoping this trip will be better than my first. My first trip was fun, but scary and somewhat irritating, then again that was around Christmas time. Surely not as many people will be there on Thursday. I saved up all of my money so I can do a little shopping while I'm there. I'm going to go on a boat to see the Statue of Liberty, see the 9/11 memorial, go to the Hershey's store, go up the Empire State building, and do whatever else I can find to fit in my schedule for the day. This week shall be uhmayzuhnn. Happy April, Merry Spring Break, and have a spectacular Easter!

I have a challenge for you guys! Megan and I got through an HOUR STRAIGHT of this, how long can you last? You aren't allowed to stop watching, even for a fraction of a second. If you have to go to the bathroom, take your iPhone with you. If all fails, just turn the volume up loud enough so you can hear it. Comment on the Nyan Cat post and tell me how long you lasted!
